Video: NBK Interviewed After Victory Over Millenium

Posted 02 November 2012 at 00:20
We caught up with Nathan "NBK" Schmit after he and his team had beaten Millenium in the French ESWC qualifier semi-final.

Due to internet issues we haven't been able to upload the interview with VeryGames' Nathan "NBK" Schmit before now. The young Frenchman was fresh off from the victory over Millenium when we got a hold of him.

In the interview, NBK speaks about beating Millenium, the rivalry between Millenium and his team, how to beat NIP, the state of the French scene and more.

Good interview! Personally, I wouldn't rate ProGaming as one of the top contenders; I'd replace them with Anexis. I'm surprised at NBK's feelings about Group A being the harder group; to me, it looks like a cakewalk for NiP for the most part, with mouz and Area 51 battling it out for 2nd. I find Group B to be the harder group, as Anexis and TOXiC are both great teams, and ESC Gaming is, well, ESC Gaming. I actually wouldn't be surprised if VG didn't top Group B.

I guess it depends on what you make of the word "harder". Personally I see group A as the strongest group simply because NIP is topping the group before it has begun and then there is one more spot up for grabs which just makes it even harder for the rest of the teams to great through. In group b, the situation is quite different - every team actually has a fair change of getting through as first/second.

That's just my five cents :-)

I don't really agree with you there. I feel like everyone are considering NiP to be a little too good. Sure, they are, but all there has been in CS:GO is one small LAN, I wouldn't write off Area51 and especially not Mouz. Both of them could potentially win the group.
