Fnatic to Open a Gaming House in Europe?

Posted 07 November 2012 at 13:45
A recent video by FnaticTV suggests that the British based organization might be opening a European gaming house.

Fnatic is already in possesion of a gaming house in the capital of South Korea and the international eSports mecca, Seoul. The gaming house has housed most of the organisation's StarCraft II players as well as the succesful League of Legends team.  The house has also hosted a handful of the Fnatic Play tournaments, most recently The Storm which saw Fnatc's own ByuL finish on top.

In the latest video posted by FnaticTV, the team's Chief Gaming Officer Patrik "cArn" Sättermon and the Counter-Strike team answered fan questions as a part of their "FnaticRC.cs AMA".  When Martin "trace" Heldt answered a question about the possibilty of moving into a gaming house together with the rest of the team, Patrik "cArn" Sättermon rounded up the answer by saying:

... Maybe in 2013 we might have a house in Europe

The statement by Sättermon is a very strong indicator of Fnatic planning a new gaming house, located in Europe, which would be much closer to their London headquarters than the current gaming house in South Korea.

Fnatic's Counter Strike team will be making the transfer to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive prior to Dreamhack Winter 2012 which will be the team's first tournament in the up and coming FPS title. If Fnatic would open a gaming house in Europe, the Counter-Strike team led by Finn "karrigan" Andersen could very well be one of the regular visitors.

Hm, I wonder where in Europe.. I would assume Eastern? Western Europe would probably be way too expensive?

I think they'll gave one in either Germany or France. That would make most sense looking at international events :-)

Woo, Fnatic has more money than i thought. If true, great news. Gaminghouses for Counter-Strike are quite rare outside Germany.

Why not Western Europe? With the right (extra) sponsors they can achieve their goal. Great news :)

Germany would be a logical choice, if they partner up with own3D for this house again as they did for the Korean one.
