Steelseries Send Hawks To DreamHack Winter

Danish manufacturer of gaming peripherals and accessories, SteelSeries, will be sending the Finnish squad, The Hawks!, formerly known as WinFakt to DreamHack Winter 2012.  Just yesterday it was announced that the organization WinFakt were closing their doors, leaving the Fins in a last minute scramble to find a sponsor to help them get to the event.  With support from the community, where many tweeted and posted to organizations, hoping to get the word out that The Hawks! needed support, the Fins were able to get the sponsorship they needed from SteelSeries.

The announcement was made in a tweet by The Hawks! captain Joona "natu" Leppänen, where he tweeted:

 

@steelseries has agreed on helping The Hawks! to DreamHack Winter 2012! Special thx goes to @rushiak ! The Hawks! steelseries

As the tweet states, SteelSeries agreed to helping The Hawks! to DreamHack Winter, whether or not this might be a permanent acquisition seems to be unlikely.
