Arguably one of the top two Danish CS:GO teams currently, Copenhagen Wolves have pulled a surprising move by dropping two of their active and presumably well entrenched players: Malte "Herden" Hansen and Danni "smF" Dyg. With their line-up before this liquidation of two players, Copenhagen Wolves displayed strong performances on the European CS:GO scene, winning the Danish Dreamhack Qualifier with a convincing effort as well as advancing past the group stage with three straight victories at Dreamhack Winter before finally losing to the ex-mousesports.uk line-up. However, they also showed that they were liable to dissapointing spells of poor play, as seen in their diminitive finish in the SLTV Starseries Online League as well as their most recent slip-up at THOR OPEN where they failed to advance past the group stage.
After this move, the Copenhagen Wolves line-up is as follows:
Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander
Nicolai "hunden" Petersen
Nicolaj "Nico" Jensen
Herden said the following to XplayN (translated from Danish):
From today's date, smF and I are without a team, due to our former mates choosing to kick us from Wolves. I would like to tell the reason behind this decision, if I knew it myself.
I am determined on finding a new team to become the best. Thank you for the time in Wolves, and thanks to Lukas, Nico and daug for not being able to trust you.
See you in the new year.
Although no reasons have been given for why Herden and smF were kicked as well as there being no news of potential replacements for the team, make sure to stay tuned to ESPlanet.net for more news on this matter.
