During ESWC, ESPlanet.net interviewed Natus Vincere's manager director Alexander Kokhanovskyy about the future of the successful Counter Strike 1.6 team. Kokhanovskyy revealed that Natus Vincere's Counter Strike team was indeed going to try out Valve's newest title, Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Kokhanovskyy also went on to reveal that it was it up to the players to decide if they wanted to play CS:GO or not and that the team would make the decision within a few months.
Following their shift to CS:GO, the Na`Vi team have been seen active in the online Starseries SLTV qualifiers. Their efforts there were mediocre at best, with only three wins and all of those against teams whose showings have been fairly unstable: KerchNET, the German ALTERNATE squad, and the Russians of zNation. Otherwise, Na'Vi lost eight other matches, including wipes against former 1.6 rivals such as ESC Gaming and the fairly strong Virtus.pro squad.
Contacted by ESPlanet.net today, Alexander Kokhanovskyy has stated that the Counter Strike team will make their final decision about whether or not to commit to Global Offensive in early February. ESPlanet.net will keep you updated on the matter.
